Doaba
Polytechnic Raipur is established with a view to
produce a product of diploma level engineer. The
institute is located on the Nawanshahr
Chandigarh highway (near Ropar) on the Northern
bank of Bist Doaba Canal. the site is surrounded
by the forest greenery, which also gives a rich
look of Shivalik Hills and snow covered
Himalayan Peaks.

admission procedure for different courses is the
same as prescribed by Punjab Govt. & Punjab
State Board of Technical Education and
Industrial Training, Chandigarh. Minimum
qualification for admission to these courses is
Matric pass with English, Math and Science. For
admission to Punjab and All India Quota, a Joint
Entrance Test (J.E.T) is conducted by Punjab
State Board of Technical Education and
Industrial Training, Chandigarh. On the basis of
test, centralized admission is made by
PSBTE&IT
Chandigarh.

The Institute has an excellent infrastructure with well-equipped Labs and workshops, experienced faculty and transport facility. DRR Library is one of the advanced libraries of the Punjab, which has SMART CARD facility. The library has good collection of volumes with multiple copies of each title for all branches and general topics catering to needs of both the students and the faculty
The Computer Labs are fully Air-Conditioned, equipped with latest Pentium-IV computers attached to LAN with Lease line from Connect Infoway. Each student had individual access to Internet and computer facilities. Internet facilities are available to students & staff even after college working hours. |

The college is approved by state Govt. for issue of concessional bus passes for their students.
